Man Killed In Andover Traffic Collision

A driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision in Andover, and another driver sustained minor injuries.

Indications show a SUV driven by an adult male was traveling southbound at 3:06 p.m. on July 19 on Round Lake Boulevard when it crossed into the northbound lane striking a pickup truck head on, according to a Thursday, July 20, press release from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency responders administered lifesaving measures to SUV’s driver at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital where he was later declared dead.

The adult male driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

ACSO, the Andover Fire Department and Allina EMS responded to the crash report near the intersection of Round Lake Boulevard and 174th Avenue northwest.

Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident.
