Molotov Cocktail Caused Car Explosion In Andover In July

On July 20, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office detected a car explosion from a Molotov cocktail in the 3400 block of 138th Ave NW in Andover. The news was presented to the Andover City Council at its Aug. 20 meeting.

Deputies were dispatched to a fire in the driveway. According to reports, the neighbor had heard a loud noise, and spotted the fire. The Andover Fire Department arrived on the scene alongside the Criminal Investigation division.
