Free Outdoor Show on Thursday, July 17 — No Park Fee Required
COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Music lovers, mark your calendars! The 2025 Coon Rapids Summer Concert Series continues this Thursday, July 17, with a live performance by Stir Krazy, a dynamic band known for delivering high-energy covers of classic radio rock hits from the 1960s through the 1990s.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park Performance Pavilion, located at 9750 Egret Blvd. NW. Admission is free, and thanks to Anoka County Parks, the usual park entrance fee will be waived for the evening.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for an evening of open-air entertainment set against the scenic backdrop of the Mississippi River.
Now a beloved local tradition, the Summer Concert Series is organized by the Coon Rapids Arts Commission with financial support from the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation. The annual event celebrates a wide variety of musical genres while offering the community an opportunity to come together and enjoy live performances in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
This year’s lineup features an eclectic mix of tribute acts, vintage rock, country, Latin fusion, and more.
Profiles of each band are available on the City of Coon Rapids website. See full lineup and band details here (external link).
In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be canceled or rescheduled. Attendees are encouraged to follow the City of Coon Rapids on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) for the latest announcements and updates.
Whether you're a lifelong fan of classic rock or simply looking for an enjoyable way to spend a Thursday evening, the Summer Concert Series offers something for everyone — and Stir Krazy promises to keep the crowd moving.
