Pickup Driver Killed In Collision With SUV In Southwestern Minnesota
Another 64-year-old woman in his pickup truck was taken to Dawson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A pickup truck driver was killed in a collision with an SUV in southwestern Minnesota on Friday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says that at 10:41 a.m., Dale Jerome Monnens, 60, of Madison, Minnesota, was driving his Ford F-350 eastbound on Highway 212 in Lac Qui Parle County when he was collided with a GMC Terrain going westbound.
Monnens died at the scene, and the crash report notes he was not wearing a seatbelt. Another 64-year-old woman in his pickup truck was taken to Dawson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The people in the SUV, including the 33-year-old woman driver and two babies under the age of one, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to Dawson Hospital for treatment.
No updates on the injured victims' conditions are known at this time.
