Coon Rapids Man, 19, Arrested Over Fatal Shooting At Strip Mall
Detectives arrested a 19-year-old man from Coon Rapids, who is currently being held on probable cause for murder.
Brooklyn Park detectives have made an arrest in their investigation into the fatal shooting outside the Starlite Center strip mall on Dec. 7.
Brooklyn Park detectives and several assisting agencies executed several warrants on Tuesday as part of the investigation, and arrested a 19-year-old man from Coon Rapids, who is currently being held on probable cause for murder.
The shooting occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at the Starlite Center on the 8000 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.
According to the police, responding officers arrived to find two people shot. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where one died, and the other was described as "seriously wounded." The condition of the surviving victim has not been released at this time.
The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.
