The Minnesota Department of Transportation expects to begin work in late March on a $40.5 million project that will expand and improve Highway 10 in Coon Rapids, according to a press release.
Crews will add a third lane to each side of Highway 10, resurface the roadway and add noise walls between Round Lake Boulevard and Hanson Boulevard, MnDOT said in the release, adding that motorists can expect ramp and road closures during construction.
Most of the project will be complete by mid-October 2025 with “final work on the pavement surface and permanent pavement markings by early June 2026,” MnDOT said.
MnDOT said the project will create a smoother road surface, improve safety and drainage, and reduce the amount of traffic on local roads.
More information is available on the Highway 10 project webpage.
