Blaine Police Department Welcomes Four New Officers, Embraces Diversity With ICPOET Program Graduates

The Blaine Police Department is expanding its ranks with the addition of four new officers, a move that mirrors a broader push for a bolstered law enforcement presence in urban neighborhoods. As detailed in a recent social media post from the department, the officers were sworn in by City Clerk Cathy Sorensen on Monday and have now embarked on their field training.

Mikael Dahlstrom, Jeremy Repinski, Michael Marohnic, and Joel Alvarado are the latest recruits to join the ranks, Dahlstrom, having previously served as a Community Service Officer, provides a continuation of service that ties together the past efforts and future aspirations, while Repinski, Marohnic, and Alvarado are freshly minted law enforcement professionals emerging from the ICPOET program which facilitates the transition from other career paths into the policing profession. According to the department's announcement, the team is "thrilled" to welcome the new officers.
