MINNEAPOLIS, July 18, 2025 — A nationwide warrant has been issued for Deshon Gregory, a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Minneapolis. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating the 31-year-old, who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
The Minneapolis Police Department said the warrant stems from a homicide that occurred in June 2025 in the city’s Phillips West neighborhood. Officers responded to a report of shots fired and found a man in his 30s suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim died at the scene.
Through investigative leads and surveillance footage, detectives identified Deshon Gregory as a key suspect in the shooting. A nationwide warrant was issued earlier this week, charging Gregory with second-degree murder.
According to law enforcement, Gregory has known ties to the Twin Cities area, but authorities believe he may have fled Minnesota. The U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search and is coordinating efforts with state and local authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
“Deshon Gregory is a fugitive from justice,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara in a press release Thursday. “If you see him or have any information on his whereabouts, please do not approach him. Call 911 or contact CrimeStoppers immediately.”
