Your Critical Role in City Services

Reporting to the Assistant Finance Director, the Utility Billing Clerk will maintain accurate utility billing accounts, assist with the billing process, and serve as a primary point of contact for residents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Account Maintenance: Ensuring all utility billing accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Billing Process Assistance: Supporting the preparation and distribution of utility bills for services such as water and other municipal utilities.
  • Customer Service: Responding to resident inquiries, resolving billing discrepancies, and handling customer concerns with a focus on accuracy and positive engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, familiarity with utility billing software or basic accounting systems, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage of $29.31 to $36.49, equivalent to an annual salary of $60,964.80 to $75,899.20, based on experience and qualifications.
