MINNEAPOLIMEDIA NEWS | Proposed Coon Rapids Manufacturing Facility Heads to Planning Commission
COON RAPIDS, MN (August 20, 2026) The Coon Rapids Planning Commission will consider a site plan Thursday evening for a proposed 17,920-square-foot manufacturing facility on vacant property along Holly Street NW.
The facility would be used to manufacture windows and doors, according to an official public-hearing notice issued by the city.
The applicant is Vera Paskar of MSP Trucks LLC. The proposal is identified as Planning Commission Case 26-26.
The public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20, in the Coon Rapids City Center Council Chambers, 11155 Robinson Drive NW.
Planning commissioners are expected to review whether the proposed site plan complies with municipal requirements involving land use, access, parking, building placement, utilities, stormwater management and surrounding properties.
A Planning Commission review does not necessarily represent final approval of every aspect of a development. Depending on the city’s review process and the commission’s action, additional permits, engineering reviews or City Council consideration may be required before construction can begin.
The city’s notice does not provide a projected construction schedule, estimated development cost, anticipated number of employees or expected opening date. Those details should not be assumed unless presented by the applicant or confirmed through subsequent city records.
Members of the public may attend the hearing and provide comments before the Planning Commission considers the proposal.
Coon Rapids City Center is accessible to people with disabilities. Residents with questions may contact the city’s planning staff at 763-767-6430 or planning@coonrapidsmn.gov.
The complete notice can be found through the City of Coon Rapids NewsFlash and public-hearing page.
MinneapoliMedia will monitor the Planning Commission’s action and report the result after it becomes available through the official city record.
