Highway 169 at 109th Avenue in Brooklyn Park is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday. The closure affects the Brooklyn Park and Champlin border area. Drivers should follow posted detours and allow additional travel time.
State Fair traffic will affect Snelling Avenue, Como Avenue, Interstate 94 and surrounding streets. Park-and-ride or regular transit service may be more dependable than attempting to park near the grounds.
Downtown Saint Paul will be busy with KPOP MINNECON, Saints baseball, Grand Casino Arena events and other attractions. Visitors should reserve parking in advance when possible.
Outdoor events may be affected by thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday. Bring water, sun protection and rain gear. Never remain in an exposed field, on the water or beneath an isolated tree during lightning.
