MINNEAPOLIMEDIA NEWS | Brooklyn Park Police Plan Free Halloween Family Night October 29
The police department’s garage will host trick-or-treating, children’s activities and refreshments during a three-hour community gathering.
BROOKLYN PARK, MN (October 21, 2026). Brooklyn Park families can add a free stop to their Halloween calendar when the Police Department hosts Halloween Family Fun Night on Thursday, October 29.
The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Police Department Garage, 5400 85th Avenue N. The city identifies the location as its North Precinct. No registration is required, and costumes are encouraged.
Planned activities include trunk-or-treating, an Explore A Truck activity, a balloon artist, music from a DJ and a scavenger hunt. Children can also visit a coloring station, receive temporary tattoos and use a photo booth.
Candy and refreshments are included in the city’s announcement. Food trucks will offer additional food for individual purchase, allowing families to decide whether to buy a meal while attending.
The Thursday gathering takes place two days before Halloween, giving households a separate evening activity before October 31. The city’s calendar confirms the October 29 date and three-hour schedule.
The event also places a community gathering at a public-safety facility. Residents seeking information about police services beyond the celebration can use the department’s website, which provides access to community engagement services, Neighborhood Watch information, records requests and other public resources.
Families can review the official event notice before attending.
