COON RAPIDS, MN (October 30, 2026).
Coon Rapids residents who have not yet voted in the November 3 general election will have additional opportunities this weekend, with City Hall offering extended in-person voting hours Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1.
The city has scheduled voting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days, followed by a final pre-election voting period Monday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The additional hours are intended to accommodate residents whose work schedules, family responsibilities or other commitments make weekday voting more difficult.
Early voting began at Coon Rapids City Hall on October 16. During the final 18 days before Election Day, voters may place their completed ballots directly into a voting machine rather than using the absentee ballot envelope process.
That arrangement allows eligible voters to complete the voting process in person before Election Day.
The general election takes place Tuesday, November 3, when polling places across Minnesota are scheduled to operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For Coon Rapids residents, the weekend schedule provides an alternative to waiting until Tuesday, when polling locations may experience periods of heavier turnout.
City Hall is located at 11155 Robinson Drive NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
Residents should verify their eligibility, registration status and applicable voting procedures before visiting. Those who have already submitted absentee ballots should check their ballot status rather than attempting to cast another ballot.
Minnesota permits Election Day voter registration for eligible residents who provide the required documentation.
The final weekend also gives voters an opportunity to review the candidates and questions appearing on their ballots. Sample ballots and polling-place information are available through the Minnesota Secretary of State.
The city's extended voting schedule is an administrative measure designed to provide additional access. It does not indicate how residents will vote or which candidates may prevail.
For those planning to vote in person, the important dates are Saturday, October 31, Sunday, November 1, and Monday, November 2.
Election Day follows on Tuesday, November 3.
