BLAINE, Minn. — Bank of America has officially expanded its presence in the Twin Cities, celebrating the grand opening of its newest financial center in Blaine last month.

The September opening is part of a broader company plan to open 150 new financial centers nationwide by 2027. This new Blaine location aims to provide a comprehensive hub for retail banking, lending, and small business services, alongside personalized investing and financial guidance through Merrill.

The launch builds on the bank’s growing Minnesota operations. Bank of America now operates 23 financial centers across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro, supported by a local workforce of more than 470 employees. Nationally, the company operates approximately 3,600 financial centers, serving nearly 250 million people across more than 200 markets.

“Continuing to modernize our financial centers while expanding our digital capabilities unifies high tech with meeting our clients when, where and how they choose as our network remains a core strategic advantage,” said Lucas Giambelluca, Bank of America’s market president, in a statement.

The new Blaine facility boasts the bank’s latest technology, private offices for one-on-one consultations, and a team of on-site financial specialists. Locals can also tap into the bank’s digital platform, which serves roughly 60 million clients nationwide.

The expansion also brings new employment opportunities to the area, following Bank of America’s announcement last year that it raised its U.S. minimum hourly wage to $25 for both full- and part-time workers—boosting the minimum annualized salary for full-time employees to over $50,000.
