Fried-chicken chain Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is continuing to expand in the Twin Cities metro area.
With a new location opened recently in Eagan, Popeyes is now looking to open its first location in Maple Grove.
The Maple Grove Planning Commission is scheduled to review the proposal for the 2,500-square-foot drive-through restaurant on Sept. 11.
The restaurant is proposed to be constructed on an outlot of the Dunkirk Square retail development.
The Florida-based fast-food restaurant, founded in New Orleans in 1972, has 18 locations in the Twin Cities metro, including seven restaurants in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
