Coon Rapids Pet Fair Returns Sept. 20 with New Location at Civic Center

COON RAPIDS, MN — The annual Coon Rapids Pet Fair is back on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., promising a day of “fur-tastic” fun for pets and their owners. This year, the popular community tradition will take place at a new location — the grounds of the Coon Rapids Civic Center, 11155 Robinson Drive NW. Admission is free, and well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.

The Pet Fair typically draws more than 500 attendees each year and has grown into a signature event for pet lovers across the community. Visitors can explore dozens of vendor booths featuring pet products, services, and educational resources, as well as enjoy demonstrations, games, and activities for both pets and their families.

Highlights include:

  • Pet/Owner Costume Contest (12:30 p.m.)
  • Rocky’s Pawsome Pet Walk (noon)
  • Pet Parade and Contests showcasing tricks and talents
  • Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest for all ages (11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with awards at 1:15 p.m.)
  • K-9 demonstrations and “Dogs with Jobs” presentations from local law enforcement and therapy teams

For younger attendees, there will be face painting, kids’ games, a Dog Pick-A-Toy activity, pup cups, and a “crazy hair” artist, making the fair a family-friendly outing. Several cake walks are also scheduled throughout the day.

Food will be available for purchase from the Coon Rapids Cardinal Little League concessions (hamburgers, hot dogs, walking tacos) and the Egg Roll Queen Food Truck, serving jumbo pork, chicken, and vegetable egg rolls, along with dessert egg rolls in strawberry, cherry, and blueberry flavors.

While the Pet Fair will not provide vaccinations this year, it will offer opportunities to meet adoptable pets through local animal rescue organizations.
