City of Anoka, County Agree On Need For New Jail, But Not On Where To Locate It

The city of Anoka and Anoka County agree that a new county jail is needed, but the issue regarding of where to construct is still up for debate.

Seven years into the process of selecting a site and design plan for the new jail, the full Anoka City Council and full County Board sat down at Greenhaven Events Center in Anoka Feb. 7 for a joint meeting to determine the project’s next steps.
