Man Dead, Woman In Custody Following Columbia Heights Stabbing

The stabbing victim died at the scene Saturday afternoon.

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened Saturday afternoon in Columbia Heights.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, police and medics were dispatched to the 3800 block of Edgemoor Place NE at 3:51 p.m. Saturday on a "report of a distressed individual requesting an ambulance."

Police arrived at the location and found a man suffering from what they believed to be a stab wound. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman was arrested and booked into the Anoka County Jail on pending charges.

Circumstances leading to the fatal stabbing are under investigation. The identities of the victim and person in custody haven't been released.
