Coon Rapids Invites Families To Fall Festivities And Trick-Or-Treating At Sand Creek Park
Residents of Coon Rapids and neighboring communities are invited to kick off the fall season with family-friendly festivities and a spot of trick-or-treating at Sand Creek Park, located at 1008 Northdale Blvd. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as this event is tailored to entertain children and enlighten parents about the abundance of resources available for youth in the area.
The Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation, with support from the City of Coon Rapids, is set to quickly become the beacon for this autumnal gathering. Free pumpkins will be available for kids to take home, ensuring the spirit of the season continues beyond the park, while supplies last, according to the City's official announcement.
This isn't just about gathering sweets; it's an educational opportunity as well. Local organizations serving the youth—from athletic associations to volunteer groups—will be present. Parents and guardians can use this time to learn more about the clubs and activities that their children might join. It's a chance to deepen community ties while the kids enjoy a range of activities like face painting, a photo booth offering free pictures for lasting memories, and even the chance to win prizes for those donning costumes.
For additional entertainment, children can bounce to their heart's content in inflatable obstacle courses or try to win at bingo and musical chairs. Numerous giveaways and a continuous flow of candy ensure the excitement will hardly wane. And for the grown-ups feeling peckish, concessions will be sold by the North Star Lions Club, aiming to support and cater to those in attendance.
