Coon Rapids Gets Grant To Buy New Police K9

Coon Rapids Police Department is replacing a retiring canine with a new police dog, thanks in part to an outside funding source.

The Coon Rapids City Council Feb. 18 accepted a $7,500 grant from the United States Police Canine Association/American Kennel Club Reunite K9 grant program to cover the purchase price and part of the training cost of the new dog.
