Police say it's too early to tell if the boy was an intended target, or caught in crossfire.
An 11-year-old boy was shot and killed at a north Minneapolis park Monday afternoon, according to police.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said officers were called to the shooting at Folwell Park around 2:08 p.m. and a police lieutenant was flagged down by a good Samaritan who lives nearby and had put the injured child inside their vehicle.
The officer immediately began CPR, but the boy died at the scene.

O'Hara said at least three vehicles that were seen driving through the park are suspected to be connected to the shooting. One vehicle drove across the grass, he said.
O'Hara said it's too early to tell if the boy was an intended target, or caught in crossfire.
No arrests have been made and investigators are seeking tips from the public. No suspect vehicle information was immediately provided at Monday's press conference.
