BLAINE, MN — The Blaine Police Department is inviting residents to an informal conversation over coffee as part of National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Storyteller Café, located at 12064 Central Ave NE, Blaine, MN.
The event, part of a nationwide initiative to foster trust and positive engagement between law enforcement and the communities they serve, removes formal barriers, encouraging open dialogue. Residents can meet Blaine Police officers, ask questions, and share thoughts on community issues in a relaxed, welcoming environment—no speeches or set agenda required.
This year marks the first time the Blaine Police Department will host the gathering at Storyteller Café, a nonprofit run by the Stories Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to fighting human trafficking through community education, prevention efforts, and survivor empowerment. The café serves breakfast and lunch, alongside coffee and tea, and features a small boutique. 100% of profits support anti-human trafficking initiatives.
National Coffee with a Cop Day is observed annually on the first Wednesday of October, continuing a program launched in 2011 aimed at building trust, transparency, and relationships between police officers and citizens. Blaine Police have previously expanded community engagement efforts through initiatives like Bike with a Cop and Donut with a Cop, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to meaningful, approachable interactions.
