Coon Rapids City Council Approves Street Maintenance Contracts and Budget Transfers

COON RAPIDS, MN

The Coon Rapids City Council on March 17, 2026 approved a set of actions related to street maintenance and city budgeting, including contracts for pavement preservation work and the transfer of prior-year funds into current and future projects.

The council approved 2026 street maintenance contracts for crack sealing and fog sealing, two routine pavement preservation measures used to maintain road surfaces and extend street life.

The council also approved a budget action to carry forward unspent funds from 2025 into the 2026 budget year for ongoing city projects.

In a separate action, the council approved a transfer of excess fund balance into capital project funds.
