COON RAPIDS, MN (September 7, 2026). The Coon Rapids City Council will return to work Tuesday evening for a scheduled work session following the Labor Day holiday.
The work session is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, at Coon Rapids City Hall, 11155 Robinson Drive NW.
City administrative offices are closed Monday in observance of Labor Day and will resume regular operations Tuesday.
Unlike regular City Council meetings, work sessions generally provide council members an opportunity to examine issues in greater detail, receive information from city staff and discuss matters that may eventually return to the council for formal action.
The September 8 meeting is a work session rather than a regular council meeting.
That distinction matters for residents following city government because work sessions can provide an early look at policy questions and projects before they reach the point of a formal council vote.
The city issued notice of the September 8 work-session agenda Friday afternoon.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Coon Rapids City Hall, 11155 Robinson Drive NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.

Regular City Hall hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with offices reopening Tuesday following Monday's Labor Day closure.
The September 8 work session comes one week after the council's September 1 regular meeting and one week before its next scheduled regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
