COON RAPIDS, MN (November 2, 2026).
Coon Rapids residents have one final opportunity Monday to vote early in Minnesota's November 3 general election, with city officials extending voting hours at City Hall as preparations continue for Election Day.
According to the City of Coon Rapids, early in-person voting began October 16, allowing eligible residents to place their ballots directly into voting machines rather than use the traditional absentee ballot envelope process.
For Monday, November 2, the city has scheduled early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., extending beyond the usual weekday closing time of 4:30 p.m.
The additional hours follow expanded voting opportunities offered on October 24, October 27, October 31 and November 1.
Residents who do not vote Monday may cast their ballots Tuesday at their assigned Election Day polling places. Polls will generally be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The final voting period comes as communities throughout Anoka County prepare to administer an election involving federal, statewide, legislative and local offices.
For residents of the city of Anoka, early in-person voting is available at Anoka City Hall and the Anoka County Elections Office at 2100 Third Avenue, Suite 160. Both locations have published a 5 p.m. Monday deadline.
Voters should distinguish between early-voting locations and their assigned Election Day polling places. A location available for early voting is not necessarily the precinct where a resident must vote Tuesday.
The city and county election offices provide information about polling locations, voter registration, ballot tracking and election procedures.
Coon Rapids residents are encouraged to review their sample ballots before arriving, particularly because the November 3 election includes offices at multiple levels of government.
With the election entering its final hours, local election administrators will shift from early voting operations to Election Day staffing, ballot processing and the reporting of unofficial results.
The city has not yet released a final November 2 early-voting participation total in the sources reviewed for this report.
For voters across Coon Rapids and Anoka County, the immediate deadlines are clear: early in-person voting ends Monday, and Election Day voting takes place Tuesday.
