Saint Paul Businesses To Adjust As City Announces 2025 Minimum Wage Hikes

As of today, Saint Paul business owners should be preparing their budgets for an upswing in minimum wage rates coming next year.

A notice sent out this morning indicates that starting January 1, 2025, large businesses with 101 to 10,000 employees and macro businesses with more than 10,001 employees are set to hike their minimum pay to $15.97 per hour.

Additionally, a mid-year increase will take effect on July 1, bringing minimum hourly wages to $15.00 for small businesses with a workforce ranging from 6 to 100 employees, and $13.25 for micro businesses employing 5 or fewer, as per Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The ordinance unequivocally states that all staff, including full-time, part-time, those jointly employed, or temporarily, must be counted when determining a business's size.
