Brick By Brick Buys 10 CH Affordable Housing Properties

Brick by Brick, a housing group, purchased 10 properties in Columbia Heights for affordable housing in the wake of a lawsuit against the previous operator, Havenbrook. The Columbia Heights City Council unanimously approved a series of rental license exemptions for four of these properties.

Brick by Brick is an organization with offices in Minneapolis whose goal is to increase affordable housing in order to build generational wealth for residents, per the meeting packet. They emphasize families at or below area median income, families of color and first generation homebuyers.
