Johnsville Library to Temporarily Close for Renovations Starting March 2

Blaine, MN – The Johnsville Library, located at 12461 Oak Park Blvd. NE, Blaine, will temporarily close its doors on Sunday, March 2, 2025, as it undergoes renovations aimed at improving the facility and enhancing visitor experiences. The library is expected to reopen this summer, though an exact date will be announced closer to completion.

During the renovation period, patrons will need to adjust how they access library materials. February 17 will be the final day to place holds for pickup at Johnsville Library. Beginning February 18, any new holds will be available at Northtown Library by default unless a different branch is selected at the time of request.

For those who rely on locker pickups, locker holds will be available at Northtown Library. Existing key fobs will continue to work at all Anoka County Library locker locations, allowing patrons to retrieve materials conveniently. Those interested in applying for a library locker can visit: tinyurl.com/aclLockers for more details.

Library officials assure the public that these renovations will enhance accessibility, create a more welcoming environment, and improve resources for the community. Updates on the project and reopening details will be shared on the Anoka County Library website and social media channels as work progresses.

For additional information or assistance in managing holds and locker pickups, visit your nearest Anoka County Library branch or contact the library system directly.
