The company, which makes fluid-handling equipment, is planning to move its headquarters.
Graco is moving its headquarters to the northwest Twin Cities, ending an almost-80-year stay in Northeast Minneapolis.
The company, which manufactures fluid-handling systems, announced on Wednesday it plans to "relocate" its riverside Minneapolis operations and corporate teams to "its growing campuses in the northwest metro area."
The press statement says Graco will "will gradually exit its Riverside campus in Minneapolis over the next two years" and plans to build a new corporate headquarters in either Dayton or Rogers, where it already has campuses.
"As we continue to grow and evolve globally, we’ve taken a thoughtful look at how best to align our Minnesota facilities to maximize manufacturing capacity,” said Mark Sheahan, President and CEO of Graco.
"The decision to consolidate our operations and offices in the northwest metro positions us for continued growth while fostering greater collaboration and operational synergy."
The company has had a presence on the banks of the Mississippi in Northeast Minneapolis since the 1940s, but has grown beyond the city limits over the years, adding facilities and office space in Anoka as well as the aforementioned Dayton and Rogers.
Graco says it will prepare its Minneapolis campus for sale as part of the transition.
