Coon Rapids Recycling Center Announces Fall/Winter Hours Effective October 1

COON RAPIDS, MN — The Coon Rapids City Recycling Center has transitioned to its fall and winter operating schedule, which took effect on October 1 and will remain in place through March.

During this period, the facility will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed on Sundays and Mondays. The seasonal adjustment ensures continued accessibility for residents while accommodating changes in daylight hours and weather conditions.

In addition to the updated hours, the Recycling Center has announced several key dates for the upcoming months:

  • Saturday, November 1: Paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (open to all Anoka County residents).
  • Tuesday, November 11: Closed in observance of Veterans Day.
  • Thursday–Friday, November 27–28: Closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • Wednesday–Thursday, December 24–25: Closed for the Christmas holiday.

The Coon Rapids Recycling Center, located at 1827 111th Avenue NW, welcomes all Anoka County residents to utilize its recycling and waste reduction services. Please note that a disposal fee applies to certain items.
