COON RAPIDS, Minn. — With the Anoka-Hennepin School District election approaching, local officials are reminding Coon Rapids residents to review key voting details, locations, and deadlines ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Some voters in Coon Rapids—specifically those residing in School Board Member Subdistricts 3, 4, and 6—are eligible to cast ballots in this election, which will determine representation on the board governing Minnesota’s largest school district.
City and county officials emphasize that absentee voting for the Anoka-Hennepin School District election is conducted at the Anoka County Government Center, not at Coon Rapids City Hall.
In-person absentee voting is available at:
Anoka County Government Center
2100 3rd Avenue, Suite 160
Anoka, MN 55303
Residents planning to vote absentee in person should visit the Government Center during regular business hours. More information is available through the county’s official elections page at anokacountymn.gov.
Eligible voters may also request an absentee ballot online through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s official website at mnvotes.sos.mn.gov. The site provides instructions on how to apply, track, and return a ballot before the election deadline.
Officials recommend requesting absentee ballots as early as possible to allow sufficient time for processing and return by mail.
Polls will be open on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in accordance with Minnesota election law.
Coon Rapids residents can confirm whether they are eligible to vote in this election, view their assigned polling locations, and access election maps through the city’s election information portal:
