The free event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Zanewood Recreation Center, 7150 Zane Avenue North.
Organized by Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks, the gathering will include board games, card games, video games, food, drinks, raffles and prizes.
All ages are welcome.

The event is designed around the idea that violence prevention begins before a crisis.
Young people benefit from safe places where they can spend time with peers, interact with trusted adults and participate in activities without pressure or conflict. Parents and neighbors also gain opportunities to meet one another and become more familiar with the people and resources around them.
Organizers say the evening’s goals include strengthening relationships, building trust and promoting peace and unity throughout the community.
This year’s gathering will be held at The Wood, Zanewood Recreation Center’s new teen center.
The setting provides a chance to introduce more families to a space intended to support youth development and positive engagement throughout the year.
Participation is not limited to a particular neighborhood, school or organization.
Food and refreshments will be provided, along with raffles and prizes. Families interested in attending can consult the city’s event page or contact Zanewood Recreation Center at 763-493-8333.
