BROOKLYN PARK, MN (July 21, 2026)  Brooklyn Park residents can purchase locally grown produce and vendor-made food products Wednesday when the city’s farmers market returns to North Hennepin Community College.

The market will operate from 1 to 6 p.m. in the college’s west parking lot, accessible from West Broadway.

The 2026 season runs every Wednesday through October 7.

Organizers anticipate space for as many as 25 vendors offering produce and cottage-food products. One or two food trucks and community organizations providing local resources may also participate.

Supporting Local Growers and Businesses

Farmers markets give residents an opportunity to buy directly from growers and small food businesses.

The model allows more of each purchase to remain with the producer while giving customers an opportunity to ask how food was grown, prepared or stored.

Brooklyn Park’s cultural diversity can also help broaden the selection beyond traditional market staples. Regional market promotions have highlighted products such as okra, bok choy, plantains and soybean sprouts alongside familiar Minnesota produce.

The market’s Wednesday schedule provides a midweek grocery option for residents who may be unavailable during weekend markets.

Its location at North Hennepin Community College places it near transit, major streets, surrounding neighborhoods and other community services.

Available products and participating vendors may change weekly as crops move through their growing seasons.
