MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 30, 2026). The Twin Cities enters the first weekend of August with a rich mix of business, culture, food, art, sports and family entertainment across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington and the North Metro.
Black Business Week continues through Sunday with entrepreneurial programs, food markets and opportunities to support Black-owned businesses. Elsewhere, WWE SummerSlam brings two nights of wrestling to U.S. Bank Stadium, while Panda Fest fills the Mall of America’s North Lot with Asian food and cultural programming.
The Powderhorn Art Fair, Minneapolis Food Truck Festival and Rondo Block Party add major outdoor attractions Saturday. Minnesota United hosts San Diego FC at Allianz Field, and the Minnesota Lynx welcomes the Indiana Fever to Target Center on Sunday.
Theater and music offerings include Wicked, Battle of the Improv All-Stars, Robert Earl Keen, Faouzia and Conspiracy to Rock. Families can also choose from Dino Fest, free programs at the Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Institute of Art, and free document shredding for Anoka County residents in Coon Rapids.
With showers possible Friday and sunnier conditions expected Saturday and Sunday, the weekend offers indoor and outdoor choices at prices ranging from free admission to premium tickets.
BLACK BUSINESS WEEK
The City of Minneapolis is hosting its sixth annual Black Business Week from Monday, July 27, through Sunday, Aug. 2. The observance recognizes Black-owned businesses, connects entrepreneurs with resources and encourages residents to support Black businesses throughout the city.
The final weekend includes business networking, food entrepreneurship, community markets and opportunities to shop directly from Black-owned businesses.

NATURE’S SYRUP BEAUTY OPENS DOWNTOWN FLAGSHIP
Nature’s Syrup Beauty, founded by Minneapolis entrepreneur De’Vonna Pittman, opened its first permanent retail store Wednesday, July 29, at 733 Marquette Avenue in the Baker Center Skyway.
MinneapoliMedia attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, where customers, entrepreneurs, civic leaders and downtown supporters gathered to celebrate the Black woman-owned company’s growth from kitchen-table formulations to a permanent downtown storefront.
Nature’s Syrup Beauty produces plant-based products for curls, coils, textured hair and skin care. The company is participating in Chameleon Shoppes, an initiative that helps women and entrepreneurs of color establish businesses in underused downtown commercial spaces.
