MINNEAPOLIS, MN (September 6, 2026). A woman was critically wounded early Saturday after an argument escalated into gunfire in a North Minneapolis parking lot, according to police, who were searching for the person responsible.
Minneapolis police responded at approximately 3:12 a.m. Saturday to a parking lot near 41st Avenue North and Lyndale Avenue North after receiving reports of a shooting.
Officers found a woman suffering from suspected gunshot wounds.
Police provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived. The woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
A witness told investigators that an argument had escalated before a person opened fire and then drove away.
The shooting occurred before officers arrived.
