Girls tennis led the way to open the 2024-25 high school sports season, with the Blaine girls tennis team opening with a trio of 7-0 shutouts, including over North Branch Aug. 20. Danica Scofield, Maria Guse and Katherine Vetsch went 3-0 in singles action, with Mischa Kaiser-Benyebka going 2-0 and Andrea Shogren adding a win.
Audrey Brown and Rosie Rekucki went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, with doubles wins also from Emily Vogel, Amelia Leckner, Eva Nelson, Katelyn Wozniak, Shogren and Kaiser-Benyebka.
