As winter tightens its icy grasp on Minnesotan streets, the Coon Rapids Police Department has taken to social media to remind community members about crucial seasonal parking regulations.
With the chill comes the return of parking rules that aim to keep streets clear for plowing and emergency access.
According to the Coon Rapids Police Department, from November 1 to April 1, overnight parking on city streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. is a no-go.
Parking on any city street becomes a strict liability offense anytime there is an accumulation of three or more inches of snow, "or until the street has been plowed from curb to curb," as stated by the Coon Rapids Police Department.
