Coon Rapids, MN — The Coon Rapids Police Department (CRPD) reported 4,382 calls for service in August 2025, according to its latest monthly recap. The total represents a decrease of 522 calls compared to July, highlighting a dip in overall demand for police services.
The report outlines the most frequent types of calls handled by officers during the month, offering a snapshot of public safety needs in the community.
Key Service Metrics for August 2025
Traffic stops accounted for the largest share of calls, with officers conducting 852 stops as part of ongoing efforts to promote roadway safety. Medical-related incidents followed closely, with 526 calls underscoring the consistent demand for emergency medical assistance in Coon Rapids.
In addition, officers responded to 272 domestic calls and 195 suspicious person reports, reflecting the department’s continued role in addressing public safety and community security concerns. The 159 welfare checks conducted in August also highlight CRPD’s role in safeguarding the well-being of residents.
