COON RAPIDS, MN — Anoka County residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and bring new life to their broken household items at the upcoming Fix-It Clinic on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event pairs community members with skilled volunteers who can help diagnose and repair items such as small appliances, lamps, and other non-functioning household goods. The clinic promotes sustainability by encouraging residents to repair, rather than discard, everyday items — a practical way to save money and reduce waste.
Organizers emphasize a “Don’t trash it, repair it!” approach, aiming to build both environmental awareness and hands-on skills within the community. Participants are encouraged to bring their broken items and any available replacement parts to assist in the repair process.
The Fix-It Clinic is free and open to the public, with no advance registration required. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
