Coon Rapids, Minn. — The Coon Rapids Ice Center (CRIC) has implemented a digital‑only ticketing system for all high school hockey games during the 2025–26 season. Traditional cash or paper tickets at the gate are no longer accepted, as all tickets must be purchased in advance through Vanco Events.
How the New System Works
Ticket Sales: Tickets become available one week before each scheduled game and must be purchased exclusively online.
Entry: Fans receive a confirmation email with a QR code after purchase. This code serves as the ticket and must be presented at the entrance for scanning, either on a smartphone or as a printed copy.
No On‑Site Sales: Cash or paper tickets will not be sold at the rink.
Season Opener
The first high school hockey games under the new system are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025:
1:00 PM: Girls Junior Varsity
3:00 PM: Girls Varsity
The Coon Rapids/Champlin Park co-op team will face the Centennial/Spring Lake Park co-op team.
Why Digital Ticketing?
Digital ticketing is increasingly common in high school athletics, offering multiple benefits:
Efficiency: Streamlines entry by reducing lines and eliminating cash handling.
Convenience: Fans can purchase and share tickets easily via email or text.
Safety & Tracking: Secure online payments and real-time attendance tracking simplify reporting and financial reconciliation.
Regional Alignment: Many nearby facilities and conferences are adopting mobile ticketing systems, aligning CRIC with broader practices.
