Coon Rapids Recycling Center to Close Nov. 27–28 for Thanksgiving Holiday

COON RAPIDS, Minn. — The Coon Rapids Recycling Center will be closed for two days in observance of the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday, city officials announced. The facility, located at 1827 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433, will not operate on Thursday, November 27, or Friday, November 28, 2025.

The temporary closure aligns with the City of Coon Rapids’ annual holiday schedule. Regular operations will resume on Saturday, November 29, following the Recycling Center’s Fall/Winter hours, which run from October through March.

Fall/Winter Operating Hours (October–March)

• Tuesday–Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday & Monday: Closed

Residents planning large drop-offs, specialty recycling, or seasonal disposal are encouraged to schedule their visit before or after the holiday break.

The Coon Rapids Recycling Center serves residents across Anoka County with one of the region’s most comprehensive recycling programs. While many services are free, fees apply to certain items. Available services include:
