The program is open to the general public and operates Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with visitors required to be in line by 2:30 p.m. for same-day service. Entry is available through Door 3.
The food shelf provides fresh produce, dairy, and staple grocery items, with regular restocking to maintain supply. In addition to groceries, the site offers free prepared meals on Wednesdays and Thursdays through a partnership with the Second Harvest Heartland Kitchen Coalition, a program that works with local food providers to deliver ready-to-eat meals.
During the winter months, the site also distributes free cups of hot soup on Fridays.
