ANOKA COUNTY, MN (May 12, 2026) Anoka-Hennepin School District officials have entered a busy final stretch of the 2025-26 academic year, launching the district’s annual Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey while finalizing graduation logistics for the Class of 2026 and recognizing outstanding student-athletes through the 2026 Athena Awards.
District officials announced that the Parent Attitude and Satisfaction Survey officially opened Monday, May 11, and will remain available through June 12. The confidential survey is intended to gather feedback from families regarding academics, school climate, communication, student support services, and overall district operations to help guide school improvement and district planning efforts.
According to the district, parents and guardians will receive individualized survey access codes through email. Families without email access or those preferring physical copies may obtain paper surveys from school offices. District officials said surveys are available in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Hmong, Oromo, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese, as part of broader accessibility efforts.
The district asked families to complete one survey for each school attended by their children and advised households with multiple children in the same school to base responses on the experience of the oldest enrolled student.
Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 serves more than 36,000 students across schools located throughout Anoka and Hennepin counties, making it one of Minnesota’s largest public school systems.
At the same time, district officials are finalizing commencement preparations for the Class of 2026. Graduation ceremonies for Andover High School, Blaine High School, Champlin Park High School, and Coon Rapids High School are scheduled for Sunday, May 31, at U.S. Bank Stadium. Anoka High School will continue its longstanding tradition of holding commencement exercises at Historic Goodrich Field on Monday, June 1.

• Blaine High School: Sunday, May 31, at 1 p.m.
• Andover High School: Sunday, May 31, at 4 p.m.
• Champlin Park High School: Sunday, May 31, at 7 p.m.

District officials also confirmed finalized partnerships with regional community television providers to ensure live broadcast and streaming access for families unable to attend in person.

Separately, the district recently honored five senior student-athletes as recipients of the 2026 Athena Award, a Twin Cities metro-area recognition honoring female high school seniors for excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and community involvement. District officials formally recognized the winners during ceremonies held earlier this month.
The 2026 Athena Award recipients from Anoka-Hennepin’s traditional high schools are:
• Ava Shaw of Andover High School, recognized for accomplishments in track and field, basketball, and volleyball. District officials said Shaw is a three-time state medalist in high jump and long jump and plans to continue her track and field career at Winona State University.
• Jordyn Jones of Anoka High School, a two-time softball captain and five-time varsity letterwinner who has committed to play softball at University of Minnesota while studying child development.
• Addison Stadden of Blaine High School, recognized for all-state honors in soccer, track and field, and swimming and diving. She plans to attend University of North Dakota to continue her soccer career.
• Sydney Burnevik of Champlin Park High School, honored for achievements in hockey and softball. District officials said she concluded her hockey career as the program’s all-time leader in goals, assists, and total points and plans to continue playing hockey at Assumption University.
• Kali Barker of Coon Rapids High School, recognized for leadership in gymnastics, cheerleading, DECA, and track and field. District officials said Barker was part of a state championship cheerleading program during her high school career.
