MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 9, 2026). Minneapolis police are investigating a homicide after a man in his 30s was found critically wounded inside a vehicle in the city's Whittier neighborhood Friday night.

Officers responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. to the 2000 block of Third Avenue South following reports of gunfire. They found the man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Police and emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the man died at the scene.

Authorities had not announced an arrest as of the latest available information. Investigators also had not publicly identified a motive or released information about potential suspects.
