The distribution will take place Monday, August 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Big Lake Township’s Lions Park, 21960 County Road 5 NW, Big Lake.
A variety of fresh produce and other miscellaneous food items will be available. The distribution is open to anyone needing assistance, and the event listing does not indicate that an appointment or advance registration is required.
Food will be distributed while supplies last. Organizers caution that the event could end before 5:30 p.m. if all available food is distributed.
Participants should bring their own reusable bags, boxes or other containers to carry their groceries. A wagon or cart is also recommended because recipients may need to transport food from the distribution area to their vehicles.
