MinneapoliMedia prepares to launch Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken, an original weekly cartoon adventure built around imagination, discovery, humor and one irrepressibly curious young girl.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (September 4, 2026). Something new is coming to MinneapoliMedia.

Her name is Abarenbō Tensai-ko.

She is curious. She is clever. She is adventurous. She asks questions. Lots of questions.

And when something catches her attention, there is a very good chance she is going to investigate it.

MinneapoliMedia is preparing to launch Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken (The Adventures of Abarenbō Tensai-ko), an original weekly cartoon series introducing readers to a spirited young adventurer whose curiosity continually leads her toward discoveries, mysteries, unexpected problems and places she never quite expected to go.

At the center of the series is Tensai-ko herself.

With her unmistakable goggles, explorer jacket, utility bag, high-top sneakers and two magnificent puffs of natural hair, Tensai-ko approaches the world as though practically everything deserves a closer look.

A strange object?

She wants to know what it does.

An unfamiliar place?

She wants to know what is there.

Something everybody else has stopped noticing?

That may be precisely the thing she notices first.

Tensai-ko is not being introduced as a child who already knows everything. Her intelligence lives in something more interesting: the desire to find out.

She observes.

She experiments.

She gets ideas.

Sometimes those ideas work beautifully.

Sometimes they create another problem entirely.

And sometimes the adventure begins because Tensai-ko has asked the one question everybody else forgot to ask.

That combination of curiosity, confidence, humor, imagination and discovery will drive Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken from week to week.

The series will take Tensai-ko into situations where learning does not happen because somebody has assigned her a lesson. It happens because the world around her is interesting enough to investigate.

Science can become an adventure.

History can hide a mystery.

A neighborhood can contain something worth discovering.

A mistake can become an experiment.

A problem can require ingenuity.

And an ordinary Saturday can become considerably less ordinary once Tensai-ko gets involved.

That is the world MinneapoliMedia is building around her.

It is a world intended for children while refusing to underestimate them.

The stories will make room for humor, imagination and the sheer fun of adventure, while allowing curiosity, problem-solving, creativity, cultural awareness and discovery to emerge naturally through what Tensai-ko encounters.

Her identity matters, too.

At the center of this adventure universe is a young Black girl who gets to be curious, inventive, funny, fearless, occasionally mistaken and completely at home occupying the role of explorer.

She does not have to wait for someone else to have the adventure.

She is the adventure.

And readers will soon get to travel with her.

Each installment of Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken will open another window into her expanding world, with recurring characters, new discoveries and situations that test not only what Tensai-ko knows, but how she thinks.

The series also marks another expansion of MinneapoliMedia's storytelling.
