COON RAPIDS, Minn. — The City of Coon Rapids Arts Commission is inviting local and regional artists to apply for its “Coon Rapids Art on Display” program — a rotating public art exhibit that highlights community creativity inside City Hall.
The initiative is part of the city’s ongoing effort to promote arts, culture, and public aesthetics throughout Coon Rapids. By featuring new artwork every quarter, the program gives emerging and established artists alike a unique opportunity to share their creations with the public while enhancing the visual atmosphere of municipal spaces.
Selected pieces will be showcased in a dedicated display case at Coon Rapids City Hall, located at 11155 Robinson Drive NW. According to the Arts Commission, new artists are selected every three months based on submissions received through an online application process.
The quarterly display terms and notification dates are as follows:
Artists interested in participating can find the official application, submission guidelines, and additional program materials — including the city’s public art policy and insurance waiver form — on the Coon Rapids Public Art Program page of the city’s website.
The Arts Commission says the “Art on Display” initiative reflects Coon Rapids’ broader mission to make art accessible and visible in everyday civic life. “This program celebrates local talent while fostering a stronger connection between residents and the community’s creative spirit,” the Commission noted in its announcement.
