In the north metro, spring does not begin with blossoms. It begins with blueprints.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the 26th Annual North Suburban Home Show will once again fill the fieldhouse courts of the Andover YMCA Community Center with contractors, architects, remodelers, landscapers, and hundreds of homeowners carrying questions about kitchens, roofs, basements, and backyards.
The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 15200 Hanson Blvd NW in Andover, with attendees directed to enter through Door #13. Admission is free and open to the public.
Since its founding in 1999, the North Suburban Home Show has served as a seasonal clearinghouse for ideas and expertise, connecting residents from Coon Rapids, Anoka, Andover and surrounding communities with trusted local professionals. The 2025 show drew more than 1,400 visitors, and organizers report a full slate of exhibitors returning for 2026.

More than 100 local exhibitors are expected to participate, representing a wide range of specialties across interior and exterior home improvement.
Inside the fieldhouse, homeowners can consult experts on:
The format is intentionally practical. Rather than glossy showrooms, the event offers direct access to builders and service providers who understand Minnesota’s climate, permitting environment, and construction standards.
A signature feature remains the opportunity for free one on one consultations with an architect. Attendees may reserve time to discuss project feasibility, layout concepts, or design challenges. Organizers encourage participants to bring photos and measurements to make the most of the session.

The North Suburban Home Show is not only about remodeling kitchens or replacing siding. It also functions as a significant food drive benefiting the ACBC Food Shelf, operated by the Anoka County Brotherhood Council.
While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to bring non perishable food items or monetary donations. Members of the Boy Scouts of America will be on site collecting contributions.
At a time when food shelves across Minnesota continue to report elevated demand, organizers say the show’s charitable component has become an essential part of its mission. The event channels foot traffic and civic energy into direct, tangible support for families in need.
The North Suburban Home Show is presented through a partnership among the cities of Coon Rapids, Anoka, and Andover, in collaboration with the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce. The cooperative structure reflects a broader north metro strategy: share resources, amplify small businesses, and provide residents with practical, money saving information.
City partners describe the show as both an economic catalyst and a consumer resource, designed to introduce residents to reputable local vendors while showcasing trends in home maintenance, energy efficiency, and construction.
For some, the show is about finally finishing a basement. For others, it is the first step toward a long delayed renovation. For many, it is simply a way to gather ideas and compare estimates before the snow fully melts.
What distinguishes the North Suburban Home Show is its scale and accessibility. There are no tickets, no admission fees, no velvet ropes. Only folding tables, business cards, sample materials, and conversations that begin with a simple question:
What do you want your home to become next?
On March 7, the answers will be waiting inside the Andover YMCA fieldhouse.
