Federal funding has been awarded to improvement projects planned for two parks in Fridley.
Following a public hearing Oct. 22 at which no one spoke, nor were any written comments received, the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board of Trustees approved a request from the Fridley City Council for $510,000 in Community Development Block Grant dollars to pay most of the cost of upgrading Oak Hills and Jubilee parks, which are close to each other.
