City of Anoka Watering Restrictions Remain in Effect Through September

ANOKA, MN — The City of Anoka’s summer watering restrictions, initially implemented on June 1, remain in effect as part of ongoing efforts to ensure a sustainable water supply during peak demand periods.

Under the current regulations, residents using city-supplied water must adhere to the following guidelines through September 30:

  • Odd/Even Watering Days: Properties with odd-numbered addresses may water only on odd-numbered days, while properties with even-numbered addresses may water only on even-numbered days.
  • Time Restrictions: Watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., regardless of the property address.

City officials emphasized that these measures are essential for maintaining adequate water levels to support critical services, including firefighting and everyday consumption. Residents are encouraged to comply with the restrictions to help conserve water and ensure a reliable supply throughout the summer months.
